Project Description:
Learn from Robyn Avalon, founder of the Contemporary Alexander School, and her teaching team at Oberlin this Winter Term. Alexander Technique is particularly beneficial for actors, dancers, musicians, athletes, and anyone who moves their body intensively in the course of their normal activities. This project is open to all students in both the Con and the College. During Winter Term, there will be two tracks of study that both include individual coaching sessions as well as large-group activities. One track: "Your Body as Your Instrument - Somatics for Performing Artists," is intended for performing artists, and another track: "Choosing Conscious Embodiment - Waking Up to the Present so you can Choose the Future," is intended for everyone. Participants do not need to choose a specific track when registering for the project.

Number of Students: Unlimited

This project is Non-Selective.
