Program Description:

This project is full and is no longer accepting applications.

This project will be completed remotely.  This project is intended for Conservatory students who did not complete a project during the January winter term session.

Project Description:
This project is open to voice and piano majors.  This course will be in two sections, the first Russian and the second Czech. In addition to lectures on history and repertoire, participants will learn several songs and/or arias in both languages, coach them privately with the instructor, and present them in class. The exact repertoire will be determined by the abilities, prior experience, and voice type of each singer. Participants will gain a working knowledge of Russian and Czech IPA, as well as basic fluency in reading the Cyrillic alphabet.

Dates: May 24th - June 18th, 2021

Number of Students: 12

This project is Non-Selective. Eligible students will be enrolled up to the enrollment limit.  Please email the project sponsor with questions about eligibility.
