WT Program Focus: Personal Development
Program Description:

This project will be completed remotely.  This project is only open to 4th and 5th year students.
Priority is given to students who register early.

Project Description:

This WT project is designed to introduce a variety of strategies and skills that will help Oberlin students transform moments of differences and disputes into opportunities for productive pathways forward in social and professional contexts. Participants will learn about the cycle of conflict and ways to interrupt it to make thoughtful decisions about how to respond in ways that are more constructive and less destructive when confronted with conflicting needs, values, identities, and world views. Two books will be required reading for this Winter Term project: The Little Book of Conflict Transformation and The Surprising Purpose of Anger. Other shorter readings will be provided as the project progresses.

Dates: August 3rd - August 25th
