Project Description:
Facilitated by Cindi Manning, students in this project will conduct a customer service analysis and devise a rubric to analyze the data for a local animal shelter in Lorain County.  Project activities include creating a survey to send to recent adopters (which will then be used by the shelter), investigating different areas of customer service using various "secret shopper" methods to critique the customer service experience, and touring the facility to meet the animals are available for adoption.

Participants will research communications via phone, social media and in-person inquiries; assist with reporting on adoption experiences; analyze the shelter's Facebook and website pages with a customer service focus; and report findings to the Small Business Development Center Director, who will then develop a custom-made customer service training program.

The project will conclude with participants attending the 2-hour training program they helped create.
