Project Description:
The Center for Student Success has long offered free individual and group tutoring services for students in courses offered throughout the College and Conservatory. Staff are currently in the process of developing a training curriculum for our peer tutors, and would like the input of Oberlin students; essentially, students would be helping us determine "how do you learn to help others learn?" During this Winter Term project, students would learn more about the current structure of the Tutor Program at the Center for Student Success, research tutoring best practices, and collaborate with staff to develop an inclusive tutor training curriculum that meets the needs of Oberlin students. Students involved with this project may also have the opportunity to explore ways to market the Tutor Program, as well as assess its effectiveness. Preference will be given to students who have a background in tutoring, especially tutoring at the college level.

There is no fee for this project
