Program Description:

Project Description:
The John W. Heisman Club, in conjunction with the Oberlin Athletics Department, is teaming up to present a Winter Term Leadership Workshop Series. This series features the following workshops with:
  1. Professor Alan Kolb, centered around his book “Exception to the Rule:  The Surprising Science of Character Based Culture, Engagement and Performance."
  2. Lisa Thuer, a Yoga, Spin, and Mindfulness Instructor presenting Fit to Lead Sessions.
  3. Katie Schrader, from the Oberlin College Career Services Office who will present sessions on exploring your personality type, articulating your value, building your team, creating community, and telling your story.
This course will also feature guest speakers to go over financial basics, being an Obie in corporate America, and public speaking tips, as well as group reflection sessions. 
The competencies to be achieved include gaining  deeper understanding of the foundations of effective and innovative leadership, identifying and articulating personal goals and ambitions for life after Oberlin, and empowering oneself to realize these goals and ambitions!
