Program Information:
This is an on campus Winter Term class. We will meet five times a week to read and discuss the works of Lucretius (a Roman Epicurean) and Seneca (a Roman Stoic) in order to gain a better knowledge of their philosophies. We will blend readings about physics (atoms and void for Lucretius vs. the four elements for Seneca) and ethics in order to get a better holistic view of both systems of thought. Student projects will include journals, papers, and creative options.

Number of students: 10

Student Fee: $10
