WT Program Focus: Research
Program Description:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

Students will learn a variety of techniques used in Behavioral Neuropharmacology Research. Currently, the lab is investigating neural systems involved in affiliative social behavior and the effects of early adverse experiences on cognitive function and social behavior.  As part of the research experience, students may learn some behavioral assessment techniques, histology, microscopy and/or Western blotting.  In addition, students will read and discuss scientific papers related to the aforementioned research projects. Students must have completed both NSCI201 and NSCI211 to be eligible to apply and should contact Professor Paine (tpaine@Oberlin.edu) to discuss the possibility of participating in the research prior to submitting their application.
