Program Description:
The AKP Center, located on the Imadegawa campus of Doshisha University, serves as a convenient hub from which to explore different paths into the heart of Kyoto.  Traverse the city to conduct research, immerse yourself in cultural activities, and discover internship opportunities.

Learn from Distinguished Faculty:  Thanks to the Visiting Faculty Fellows Program, the AKP recruits some of the finest teachers from its 14 consortium colleges. Whether you're interested in industrial pollution or Japanese theatre, there's a class waiting for you.

Immerse yourself in Japanese:  Become a linguistic adventurer. With four levels of Japanese courses, each taught by an experienced and helpful professor, the AKP's Japanese program is your stepping stone into life in Kyoto.

Explore New Passions:  Train in aikido. Practice Japanese dance. Learn the shamisen. With the aid of the Cultural Activities Grant, you can explore those parts of Japanese culture you've always dreamed of.
